The Nigerian National Museum in Onikan, Lagos, is a cultural landmark that houses a vast collection of Nigerian artifacts, including the Jemaa Head and the car in which General Murtala Mohammed was assassinated.
It was founded in 1957 to preserve Nigerian cultural heritage and is managed by the National Commission for Museums and Monuments.
